You can sign up for and begin taking private lessons at any time. We will adjust your rate to reflect the remaining weeks of class in the current semester.

Group classes follow a curriculum and largely start and end together, meaning it is difficult to join in later if the group is too far along. If we have no openings in current groups, you can sign up and wait for a new group to be formed.

In general, we recommend having at least a touch sensitive keyboard available at home for practice. Especially if you are signing up for private lessons. For private lessons, you can come for a free trial and then purchase an instrument once you decide to start.

Absolutely! Once you have signed up we will send you an email detailing what you need and what the options look like. You will at least have a better understanding of what’s out there so that you can make an informed choice.

For private lessons, we can travel to your home. For locations within 10 minutes walking distance of our studio the rates do not change. Further than that, we charge up to $30 extra for in home visits, depending on the distance.

If you are sure that you want to start piano and are ready to commit, we recommend private lessons. They cater to the individual student and are the best choice for smooth growth.

If you’re on the fence and not really ready to commit financially or otherwise, but want to try it for the experience - the group piano class is a good choice.

For kids, how many lessons a week they take and what other programs they are participating in (practice assistance, ear training) determine the difficulty of materials we can use and the rate at which we make progress through the tasks.

Rest assured, whether you are just taking one piano lesson a week or are more involved, we always do our best to keep students challenged! Although more supervision and involvement reduces risks of mistakes and improves the retention of knowledge - everyone receives the same quality of information and instruction.

Yes, we schedule lessons on the weekends.

Yes, we have two spaces available for teaching, so we are able to accommodate siblings at the same time.
